All items found on Jersey Opera House premises are referred to Box Office for registration and management.
All property entrusted to Jersey Opera House will be safeguarded and all reasonable attempts will be made to return items of found property to the rightful owners.
Reports of Found Property
Found property may be handed to the Duty Manager / Box Office Staff, or any Jersey Opera House staff member available. All property will be recorded in the Lost Property Book and securely stored in the Box Office cupboard or in the safe if the object is considered valuable.
• Items of significant value, such as wallets, bank cards, jewellery, mobile phones, cameras etc will be stored in the safe for a period of three months.
• Other items such as clothing, umbrellas, papers etc. will be securely stored by Jersey Opera House for a period of one month.
• Individual sums of money found (not in a wallet or purse), will be held for a period of one month.
At the end of retention periods, unclaimed property will be donated to the Jersey Opera House Charitable Trust, or another authorised charity of the organisation’s choosing, or disposed of in accordance with standard Jersey Opera House procedures.
Unclaimed monies will be transferred to the Jersey Opera House Charitable Trust.
Reports of Lost Property
Reports of property lost on Jersey Opera House premises can be made to the Box Office. All claims for property must be valid and accompanied by proof of identification and a detailed description of the item in question.
Claims for property held in a Jersey Opera House Box Office without a corresponding ticket must be supported by proof of identification and a detailed description of the item in question.
Property held in Jersey Opera House Cloakroom and unclaimed at the end of a performance will be transferred to Box Office.
