| Each year from 1964 to 1967 I visited Jersey with 4 to 6 friends. On my first visit I had a pint in the lower bar and made friends with Doris and a few locals, one couple was Peggy and Bill who were the landlords of the pob next door. Every year as soon as we had checked in to our hotel we headed down to the Opera House to have a pint with our Jersey friends. We had our own pint tankards behind the bar, is it was our LOCAL. |
| I emmigrated to Canada in 1968, where I have lived ever since. I think about my visits to the bar at the Opera House often and hope to visit again someday. I doubt if Doris or any of my old Jersey friends are still alive or even if the bar still exists? My pint tankard must still be around somewhere. |
| I always enjoyed the shows at the Opera House and loved the little bar below street level. |
