Reports to: Operations Manager/Facilities Maintenance Coordinator
Location: Jersey Opera House
Contract Type: Full-time
Hours: Hours would be flexible including out of hours and weekend work, but this is open to discussion.
Job Purpose:
To maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment across the premises, ensuring high standards of cleanliness are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming.
Clean and sanitise restrooms, kitchens, and communal areas.
Empty bins and dispose of waste in accordance with site procedures.
Replenish supplies such as soap, toilet paper, and paper towels.
Maintain cleaning equipment and report any faults or damage.
Follow health and safety guidelines, including the safe use of cleaning chemicals.
Ensure all areas are cleaned to a high standard and meet hygiene requirements.
Respond to urgent cleaning requests as needed.
Report any maintenance issues or hazards to the supervisor.
Secure cleaning areas and equipment after use.
Person Specification:
Essential:
Previous experience in a cleaning role (preferred but not required).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good attention to detail.
Reliable and punctual.
Understanding of health and safety practices.
Desirable:
Knowledge of COSHH regulations.
Experience using industrial cleaning equipment.
