Jersey Opera House Seeks Permanent Chair Ahead of Autumn 2025 Reopening
Jersey, Channel Islands – 22 August – The Jersey Opera House is preparing to reopen its doors in autumn 2025 with a refreshed vision, upgraded facilities, and revitalised programme. As part of this exciting step forward, Jersey Opera House Limited is seeking applications for the role of permanent Chair of its Board.
Laura Robertson, Interim Chair of Jersey Opera House, commented: “This is an exciting and pivotal moment in our history.” “With the Opera House reopening later this year, we are looking for a visionary and committed individual who can play a leading role in guiding the strategic direction of the organisation and ensuring the Opera House thrives as a vibrant hub for the arts.”
The incoming Chair will play a key role in:
Guiding the strategic direction of the organisation
Ensuring financial sustainability and robust governance
Championing inclusive and accessible arts programming
Building strong relationships with government, sponsors, and the local community
Acting as an ambassador for the Opera House across the Channel Islands and beyond

Applications for the role of Chair are now open and close on Friday, 5 September 2025, at 5pm. Applications are welcomed from individuals across a wide range of backgrounds and experiences
