Celebrate 25 Years of Tales from Acorn Wood! Join Axel Scheffler, legendary illustrator of children's classic The Gruffalo, as he draws some of his most famous characters, introduces his delightful new book Welcome, and celebrates 25 years of the Tales from Acorn Wood with Hare's New Dress.
Axel Scheffler was born in Germany in 1957. He moved to the UK to study illustration at Bath Academy of Art in 1982. Since then, he has worked as a freelance illustrator and is best known for illustrating the children’s classic picture book, The Gruffalo, written by Julia Donaldson. It has sold over 17.5 million copies, in 105 countries throughout the world. He lives in London.
