Aurelie Boas
Simon Boas touched many people’s lives – most of all with his attitude to his untimely death. He wrote articles for the Jersey Evening Post about both his cancer diagnosis and prognosis, which went viral on a global scale. Further print and radio interviews ensued and then a book deal for his philosophical (and humorous) musings on how to live deeply and how to die well.
In this event, his widow Aurelie will be in conversation with Simon’s friend, and fellow writer, Sam Le Quesne. They will touch on the success of A Beginner’s Guide to Dying, but will mainly explore Aurelie’s journey – openly and honestly – from Simon’s diagnosis to preparing for his death through to her ongoing grief and all of its unexpected stages.
