Jersey, Channel Islands — Monday 14 September — Jersey Opera House will launch a major recruitment campaign as the organisation looks to the future and enters the next stage of its development.

The campaign starts Wednesday 16th September and will see the Opera House recruit across a range of senior, officer and casual positions, expanding its team across communications and fundraising, creative programming, finance and technical operations.

The recruitment marks an important next step for Jersey Opera House as it continues to build on the momentum of its reopening, investing in the people and expertise needed to support its ambitions for the future.

With an increasingly diverse programme of performances, community activity and events, the expansion will strengthen capacity across the organisation and support the Opera House as it continues to develop its artistic programme, grow audiences, strengthen its financial resilience and build its role within Jersey's cultural landscape.

The campaign will include opportunities at Head of Department and Officer level alongside casual roles, creating opportunities for people with a wide range of skills and experience to become part of the team behind one of Jersey's best-known cultural institutions.

Sebastian Warrack, CEO of Jersey Opera House, said:

"This is an exciting moment for Jersey Opera House. Since reopening, our focus has been not simply on bringing this extraordinary building back to life, but on building an organisation that can realise its full potential for Jersey.

"This next phase is about investing in the people who will help us do that. We are strengthening our team across a number of important areas, bringing in additional skills, ideas and capacity while continuing to develop the talented team already working here.

"There is a real sense of ambition for what Jersey Opera House can become. We want to create outstanding experiences for our audiences, provide opportunities for creativity and participation, and ensure the Opera House has the resilience and expertise to thrive for generations to come.

"For anyone who is passionate about culture, creativity and making a difference in our Island, this is a fantastic time to become part of the Opera House story."

The recruitment campaign reflects Jersey Opera House's commitment to investing in the organisation today while laying strong foundations for its future.

New roles will strengthen the organisation's communications and fundraising activity, support the continued development of creative programming, increase capacity within finance and expand the technical team responsible for delivering the growing programme on stage.

The campaign will also include casual opportunities, helping Jersey Opera House develop a flexible team to support performances and the day-to-day operation of the venue.

The expansion comes as Jersey Opera House looks ahead to its next chapter, with a focus on artistic ambition, audience development, community engagement and creating a resilient organisation capable of playing an increasingly important role in Jersey's cultural future.
