This is a screening.The celebrated story of Robinson Crusoe by Daniel Defoe, the irresistible talent of Jacques Offenbach, and a particularly promising cast… the Opéra de Rennes invites you to an exceptional event to close the season, as part of 2026’s free Opéra sur écrans screening.

The music of Robinson Crusoe reveals a wealth of imagination and colour, brought to life by the Orchestre National de Bretagne and conductor Guillaume Tourniaire, one of the greatest specialists in French music.

Who better than Laurent Pelly to stage this little-known piece and find the subtle balance between laughter and poetry, while questioning our relationship with the unknown and the foreign?
