Loneliness has reached the levels of an epidemic in the UK. From the bullied child to the new parent, from the pensioner who has outlived friends and family members to teenagers who manage their social lives through the glow of a mobile phone, it can affect anyone and everyone, irrespective of age, race or class.
Join author Richard Roper (Something to Live For) and journalist Nick Duerden (A Life Less Lonely) for a panel discussion on the effects of isolation and a call to arms about how we can end the stigma attached to loneliness. The event will conclude with afternoon tea for all attendees.
The practical advice given [by Duerden] is gold dust not only for lonely people, but for those who long to help them.’ Joanna Lumley
