Narrated by Baroness Floella Benjamin of Beckenham (of Playschool fame), the concert features a wonderful work The Selfish Giant and is a matinee aimed at children aged from 6 to 15.
This special treat includes a world premiere of Howard Goodall’s (EMMY, BRIT and BAFTA Award-winning composer) revised version of Oscar Wilde’s The Selfish Giant with Baroness Benjamin, 100 children from the Island Games Choir, Vic Prep, and JCG singing alongside the Jersey Chamber Orchestra.
Howard has been England’s first ever National Ambassador for Singing, the Classical Brit Composer of the Year and Classic FM’s Composer-in-Residence and has revised this work for Jersey
The concert is directed by Daniel Cohen, the Director of the Deutsche Opera Berlin, and will delight and entertain parents and children alike.
