The Virginia Monologues

THE STORY IN MOTION PROJECT

IN THE STUDIO

Taking its inspiration from Virginia Woolf’s essay ‘A Room of One’s Own’, The Virginia Monologues is a completely improvised show that uses audience suggestions to create stories, monologues and scenes. Performed by Nathalie Jacoby and Rhona Richards, with music from Antoine Lefort, the stories unfold as the evening unfolds, the actors discovering them at the same time as the audience.

Sometimes comic, sometimes tragic or poignant, anything can happen because every moment, including live music and lighting, is created on the spot.

“Just back from seeing ‘The Virginia Monologues’ at the Theatre National du Luxembourg… Absolutely fantastic! We laughed, we cried… do go and see it if you possibly can.” CitySavvy Luxembourg
